BMW part number lookup website?

I am wondering if anyone has found a good website with a BMW parts catalog to look up OEM part numbers? I would like to be able to sort by specific vehicle and only look at parts that fit that exact model.

I have found a handful of websites that are sharing a database somewhere, such as bmwpartsnow.com, getbmwparts.com, bmwpartsdirect.com and probably a handful more. These websites allow me to select a vehicle, but they sadly do not actually filter results for the chosen vehicle. So for example, looking up a part number for an oil filter, I am presented with basically every BMW oil filter item, and have to sort between over 100 pieces.

This is fine for occasional use, but I am seeking something less tedious with a working year/make/model filter.

Unfortunately they are using the same database as the other website I mentioned. If I choose our vehicle, and then select oil filters, I am presented with every BMW oil filter and related item. Screenshot attached.

Maybe I need to try a different browser? But it appears to me all these websites are using the same broken database.

Hmm, for oil filter specific to your car you might need to go into either the engine or fueling system parts fiche.

This is the best website I’ve found so far. You can pull up the schematics for a lot of things too which other websites don’t have. https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/

if you have Android phone take a look to a BimmerREFS app. I don't know if they have ios version. It's a app created by a Spanish BMW fan and works really well.

for G42 most of parts are included (MY22). MY23 is not included because is updated to 11/2021, but they use to update the database once per year, so I hope they can update it to include MY23 soon.

OK now we are getting somewhere. I like this. All the website catalogs are just a disaster compared to this.

Plus, I found the oil filter! Except it shows 2 of them; and no way to distinguish which I need. Further searching shows that one supersedes into the other. This all started because I wanted to see if my S58 oil filters were compatible with my B58. Who knew finding an oil filter could be so complicated.

I take back what I said about https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/

I mistakenly thought one of the other links redirected to this one anyway.

On this one, the make/model filter does actually work correctly.

2-year UPDATE: To this day, bmwnorthwest.com is my go-to site for looking up OEM part numbers.
