There's a carbuzz article about a fragrance dispersion package. My question is whether this rendering is a future BMW and which one. Looks dynamite.

Hard pass on front fascia or the spray? Spray is goofy, but I like the aggressive design. I'm more curious if BMW let a design element slip out.

both. I'm pretty sure in their current track record, the front fascia will change, and change for the worse when all is said and done.

I keep trying to figure out any reasonable use case. De icer for winter. Fart spray for theft deterrent. Pepper spray if you really want to be an ass. Fuel smell for electric cars. I really don't need my car trying to make my garage smell better.

There’s no gimmick BMW will overlook these days. I mean really, what tone deaf focus group was the basis for this decision, if real?

It's a patent, big corporations patent anything they can dream up even if it makes no sense. Mostly just in case someone figures something out that they didn't. Doubt there is any intention to use this.
