I think bmw on the video has a sunroof. Everybody knows that it is very heavy (62kg) and it is in the worst place to have extra kg. So nobody is taking it.

I agree for the most part but its not really that straight forward usually. A Mustang dyno without correction does tend to read lower than a Dynojet. But Mustang dynos allow for an operator set correction factor. Most Mustang dyno operators already have their software turned up 15% to try and "emulate" Dynojets. So they are cranking you up 15% and then sending you on your way with the impression that you would *still* make even more on a Dynojet. This is usually over-inflating as there is no actual static % difference between the 2. I owned a Dynojet for a while and now my friend owns it. Its not uncommon for people to show up in hopes of seeing their Dynojet numbers crush their Mustang graphs from another shop, only to be disappointed when it reads lower. Dynojet software does not allow operators to set their own corrections. All you can do is choose between typical environmental correction presets (SAE, STD, DIN, and I forget what else). So you will actually see great consistency from one Dynojet to another, assuming the operator knows how to setup the car and equipment correctly and consistently.

The G42 will never be an ideal track car. If you’re a fan of moonroofs, like me, the weight is meaningless. I almost always drive with it vented, even with the A/C or heater on.

I think the B58 probably didn’t change much over the years they just stopped underrating it for newer models to show improvements.
Given it’s reliability and fuel economy, it has great power and torque ratings. Not sure what’s going on with the Merc?? |

I don't know about a lie but yes I have seen other Gen 2 B58s run significantly higher than what this video says. Probably just a user error, Dyno error, or that particular B58 has something wrong with it. Or maybe everybody elses just reads high, who knows. Saw a guy dyno 450whp with just a downpipe and JB4 Map 3 on E20.

I was initially pissed that I couldn't delete the moonroof but now I love that I have it. Like @
XC3LLR8, mine is always open, even now in the dead of winter. Granted, my heat is cranked to 78F+. |

Concerning though… makes you wonder how long the issue was there… and, would it ever have been diagnosed if it wasn’t taken onto a RR??? |

I would pay a modest membership fee to Bimmerpost if they would ban all videos from this YouTube channel. 😂😂😂

Carwow creativity can only be recognized for distracting the reader from the mundane with videos that provide substantial entertainment value.
