How do I decode a build from a partial VIN number?

Title essentially explains this, but I was looking at allocations on a dealer website and they only list the last 8 or so digits. They’re closed today and I was trying to look up the build since there’s almost no information available on their inventory. Thoughts?

You are going to need the full VIN in order to do it online.

Yeah, just discovered that BMW has started reusing the last 8 digits as of 2020 or so! Thanks.

For the G87, enter 3MF13DM0?P before the last 7. Site should calculate the correct 9th position check digit. Change the ? to that number and you should have the complete VIN for mdecoder, etc.

Thanks guys. That totally worked, but unfortunately the M2 I was tracking is an AUTO. Ugh. 😣
