Why do you not want the current generation? The LCI will still be the current generation, just with some changes. The current iteration already got the new iPad instrument panel and “dashboard” and console without an actual shifter.

Didn't the 3 series just get an LCI? That includes the M3.

2024 update will be the first real LCI for G8x platforms. Previous LCI was more specific for regular 3 and 4 series which was carried over to the M vehicles.

Only the G20 went through the LCI. G22/23 will be next spring which will flow through to the M4 (and M3 front end)

I was talking about the tech in the M3, mainly iDrive 8 and the revised cockpit.

As far as I heard, power stays the same for the LCI in 2024. This is all I know.

I mean, it's not like the M3/M4 need more power. They have a ton already.

It's been a while! You even got your car, it's gorgeous.

When I took delivery I just stayed away and enjoyed the car.

If you wait for the 2024 model, there might be 2-3 more price increases

I expect LCI will be a '2025' model year, available mid 2024 (I was just told that my car will likely arrive late 2023 and be a 2024MY, not LCI).
Likely some more price increases, yes... even from 23 to 24MY unfortunately.

Rear end probably won't change since LCI 3er did not change. I don't think that'll bother anyone.
Front end will probably just see new headlights and slight modifications to the bumper. Hopefully nothing substantial as I have warmed up to the big grille. I'm sure it'll look nice.

The M3 follows 4 series LCI so I don't think anyone knows for sure.

It has been confirmed that M3 and M4 are getting their LCIs by 7/24 and 3/24 respectively inaddition to the carryover updates from regular 3 and 4 series.

Yes, I'm just speculating because the M3 rear follows the 3 series with regards to tail lights.

3er LCI and X6 LCI had unchanged tail lights.

If 4er front and rear change, that does not mean that the M3's rear will change with it.

Again, all speculation.

LCI in almost every german sedan, specifically BMW's last three 3 series sedans, have included a slight change in bumper/valence but I wouldn't expect taillights to be changed in shape (maybe internals).

They will likely include a change as this is going to be a 2019-2027 production model of nearly 8.5 years. The LCI will likely have a facelift, taillight, or both if we just follow BMW's trends over the last three generations. Not certain as car companies are cost cutting like mad but BMW updates their cars exterior like hotcakes. Nearly every 2-3 years in MANY of the models.
