I recommend taking a shot everytime there is "a possibility" because this car has many according to the interview. So many possibilities!!

I would like to know more about the "active" part of the suspension, in particular what happens with the shocks depending on speed and steering angle. I wonder if that information is available somewhere.

I like how they discussed winter driving courses and driving on a frozen lake when talking about the benefits of M Traction Control. Its one of the features I'm more interested in and I fully intend to exercise that use case

A lot of this is just a recap of what the G80/82 already do so it's no surprise these all trickle down to the M2. It would have been more informative if he simply asked what differentiates the G87s tuning from the G80/82.

“Might be” are the operative words there. It will not occur prior to the LCI.

It “might” rain today as well.

Genuine question. Am I the only person who absolutely despises these new screens? I'm really looking forward to the driving experience but I can already tell the amount of reflections and glare coming off these two giant iPads is going to drive me insane. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the physical setup of iDrive 7 cars and this screams cost cutting to me, which is insulting to the legacy of the brand. Otherwise, great video. I'm in a bind picking between BSM and TR.

I disklike them because of how poorly they are integrated on the dash. Looks like a widescreen monitor on a desk. Also don't understand why there's no traditional round gauge option. It's the simple things...

Same. I think not having the main cluster recessed into dashboard with a shade is a huge mistake - but hey, at least they were able to pad their profit margin by $100. This is definitely going to be a point of contention when I drive an HEA car.

This is actually one reason I got the HUD, hoping to just keep my eyes on the road and away from the dash. I have read that from the driver seat it is a bit more fluid, but idk.

Interesting to see the tires and track and the same as the G80. It really is a baby M4 at this point. I just hope they keep the playfulness of the car. Nice to see the love of the 6MT from within BMW M.

And it actually sounds pretty good. Several official BMW engineers commented on how different the sounds/experiences are with the manuals longer gear ratios. Obviously at idle it's not a difference but enjoying those midrange sounds for longer periods would be great with a manual.

Sounds good enough stock. I'm glad I won't have to get that ridiculous-looking M performance exhaust or to go aftermarket for a decent sound.

Getting to the second part of the video now after taking a pause for a conference call and YIKES. The carbon roof only saves 13lbs over the metal roof WITH THE SUNROOF!? How is that worth $3000 besides appearance?

CF roof equals 13 lbs less than the steel roof. 48 lbs less over the sunroof G87.

G87s for U.S. market are unavailable with a steel roof. The Sunroof is Std Eq.
