Can you see the build date anywhere on the car?

I never found out my exact build date when i took delivery of my M240i last month. Is there any way to see it in the infotainment or in some panel of the car perhaps?

In US Spec cars, there is a black label stating the month and year of manufacture along with the VIN. It is located on the driver's side door jamb.

Just checked both door jams and no dice. I live in Asia but I think my car is closer to the European Spec since I have the dreaded OPF.

Anyone here NOT from NA who can share if they found the build date somewhere in their car? Thanks.

The build date is linked to the VIN. If you put your VIN into an online VIN decoder such as this: http://www.bimmer.work/ it shows you some key data for your car including its build date - technically the date it started production.

Wow! That worked! Thanks for that. It’s so detailed, down to a day. Nov 4, 2022. 😂
