Be sure not to reduce airflow through it. There's a good chance it should be left alone, or it'd have come with something from the factory.

I believe that's the oil cooler too. Is it the same on the M3 and M4? Seems disaster prone.

We highly recommend the Fall-Line Motorsports Oil Cooler Guard. We just installed one our G87! Full stainless steel construction with the option to have it powdercoated in a wrinkle black finish.

Also, the one from Turner has smaller more restrictive cutouts than the Fall Line guard.
