What improvements will be made to the M2C?

I just read thru the allocations thread (I’m late to this party) and think I may just attempt to get a high spot on the M2C list at a good dealer. I’ve never owned a M car and wanted to know best guesses on what the M2C will upgrade over the current car. I can spend sub $80k so guesses on price would also be appreciated. Obviously I’m not in a hurry.
Cheers. Rick

It is currently uncertain that the G87 Comp will happen and if does it will not materialize until the arrival of the LCI. While not an improvement, the manual is bound to be MIA.

Just like the G80 or G82 allocation, the G87 allocation will not be specific to Base or Comp model…
I guess they’ll bump the power and make it 8ZF only for the Comp (if it comes out)

You won’t get anywhere by asking this question now. Nobody here (almost) will have any meaningful intels even though some might give their 50c worth.

I'm betting it will regress by not having a manual option.

And no manual and more $, same weight depending on seats and roof options (likely).

Same here, don't even like cf. But went all out with CF pack, spoiler, inlets.

no manual
different wheels
horsepower bump
new color options

x drive is a strong possibility

they'll probably save the light weighting and cup tires for the CS model

Bump up the price on M4 so M2CS could be built with lighter wheels, more color choices, and more power.

Michelin Cup 2 tyres (or possibly the Pirelli Trofeo R equivalent) are a no-cost option with the M-Driver's Package when "Track Tires" are selected here in Canada. Also available in other countries, too.

My random guess - more power, auto only, xdrive, more colors available, laser lights, some cosmetic updates (maybe iDrive 9).

Ok, since you are so persistent. Power bump to base M4 level (470 hp), torque remains the same, drivetrain options remain the same, new wheels and new colours. Small minor changes to the exterior.

All things we can fix on our own now. (Even color can be fixed in a few different ways). Why wait to drive this car based on those things?
