Lowering Kits: Springs, HAS, etc.

Reviewing photos - this model needs to be lowered - I think we can all agree. I am now looking at kits to drop 10-15mm rear, and 15-20mm front.

What products are you all looking at? What are there drop ranges and handling/riding characteristics?

I spoke to a friend of mine that owns a performance shop and knows and has close relationships with all at H&R. I was told for now, do not use the part numbers for springs for G80/82 M3/M4. Their R&D is/will be working to determine the tolerances/rates and if a separate part number for the G87 M2 will be required. If they determine the tolerance is close enough then the part will be the same. No determination has been made yet as of this time.

Honestly does not surprise me at all considering the car's chassis has been set up completely different, and has different loads on the four wheels.

Why anyone would try to kid us into thinking the normal M Performance HAS is 100% fine is beyond me. I guess I would swallow it not problem if data was provided, but with my scale weights it shows differentials of up to 200lbs in a corner from the G82. That does not fall within acceptable tolerance for a car that was designed to feel different.

Also why I am waiting on an engineered solution for this car. We already know it's easy to drop it and plug in parts from other vehicles, that doesn't mean they'll perform the way we want

Definitely excited to see this! I'm nervous about going to low or too wide and spending unnecessary $ going back and forth. Hoping to dial it in on the first try.

Looking forward to results! This is definitely a potential for me AFTER I see how the car settles, and see if anything specific to G87 is developed. I had the MP kit on my F87 and I liked it very much.

Ill def keep you guys posted. I know it's gonna be a hit or miss so I only bought the spacers from Amazon just to test fit see how it sits and looks, in case i need to return and just get a decent set like macht or fc.

I'm trying to skip spacers and get wheels with the right offset to save a little bit of weight, so you guys with spacers will definitely be the guinea pigs. I've got about 2 weeks B4 I need to put in my order and decide though. I think I'm gonna be cautious with the offset since I will be able to fine tune with HAS.

I've been trying to find out if the M Perf HAS requires any coding after the install since the G87 has different spring rates than the G80/2. Can you please find out if that's required when the dealer does your install?

Looks like they did a square drop. Do you know how low they went?

How's the ride pre and post install?

Thanks for pics. Can you take them without the funky fisheye lens? Just a good side shot would work.

The car looks good but it’s hard to see the stance without a side profile picture.

It's crucial to establish your objectives before embarking on any car upgrades. Are you primarily aiming for visual enhancements, or are these upgrades intended to improve track performance?

By determining your goals at the outset, you can make more informed decisions on which kit if best for you.
