G87 Battery compartment access, missing panel tab?

In the trunk, the bottom panel (floor of the trunk), is there supposed to be a tab in order to lift that panel up?

Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

You can see how they open the floor at the 7:10 mark.

You can actually take the cover off starting from the back corner of the trunk without any tools. Easier to get a grip on that end. The edges can be sharp and cut your finger though.

I just folded over 4 inches of duct tape and stuck it on the bottom with the folded over bit sticking out. In the future I think I will look at using glue and a nice cloth like door pull.
