Exhaust Valve fuse
Has anyone pulled the exhaust valve fuse to keep it open? Looking to do it but can’t seem to find any videos for it.

I've done it. Just pull out Fuse F203 (7.5A) while the valve is open in Sport mode. Voila!
See below thread as well. https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=20 . |

Thanks, it looks like it worked. I took a drive to get the motor up to temp then came home and parked while still in sport+ and yanked it. I switched to eco pro and it still sounds the same. I unfortunately cannot see the flap visually due to my aftermarket exhaust tips.

Does anyone notice that there is no engine sound through the speakers? I have the fuse off and if I switch eco to sport there is no sound change on the inside of the car.

Wondering if this is something 2023 cars don’t have with id8
Because on my M135i was clear the engine sound on the speakers on the 240i I don’t hear anything that could point to hear on the speakers the engine sound. Would like to hear more feedbacks from my2023 owners |

I remember reading that people said you can visually see the flap open/closed. Mine is for sure open at all times now so I am good.

I own a 2023 M240 (ID8 Obviously) and pulled the fuse last week. Its pretty straight forward, have the car running and in sport... verify the exghuast valve is open (right side) and then pull the selected fuse. Everything still works perfectly fine, parking sensors, no error codes I can see etc. With that being said I would still reinstall it whenever bringing the vehicle in because as pentland showed there is a fault.

So you can! Apologies.
I probably didn’t take too much notice as when I looked it would have been closed. Last edited by Pentland; 04-26-2023 at 04:44 AM.. |

2023 X3 Exhaust flap actuator open constantly
I was told that you could just pull Fuse 203 with the engine off, as long as the exhaust flap actuator was open. Did anyone else hear this too??

I have a 2023 X3 and a 2023 X1, both have the M Sport package. The X3 has the exhaust flap actuator, but the X1 doesn't. The X3 has the id7 software package and the X1 has the id8 software package.
