Staggered vs Squared tires

My e93 originally had the staggered setup with 225x40x18 on the front and the 255x35x18 on the rear. I changed the rims out to all 8.5x18 keeping the staggered tires which coincidentally were the smallest and largest tire widths the 8.5 should take.

At this point I'm looking for new tires and trying to figure out should I keep the staggered setup on the squared wheels, or put the same on all 4.

Up for suggestions

Thanks

If you're running square rims, there's zero reason to run staggered tires. Go 255 all around.

Are 255 too wide for the front or that's the best size for 8.5x18 wheels?

255 is widest tire you should fit on a 8.5" rim (though I have a 265/35-18 mounted on a 8.5" wheel for my spare and it's fine, guess it depends on the specific tire.) From everything I read it should fit fine on the front with stock suspension, or any aftermarket suspension without aggressive lowering. My question is how they would look.

Anyone have a link to photos of a square 255/35-18 setup? I searched and searched but can't find anything. My concern is that they would look like they're sticking out too far.

I have 255x35 on my 8.5 right now, they seem fine but not sure about on the front.

Pilot super sport seem to only come in 255x40

Additionally, planning on swapping my old tires out as there 7 years old but they seem fine.

Should I just keep them?
