black wheels vs bi-colour

Good morning!

Ordered a toronto red m2. I ordered the black wheels but after seeing tons on vide reviews I am starting to like more the bi-colour wheels.

What do you think fits better for the Toronto red?

Black 100% in my book. In fact I’d say the black wheels and accents are one of the main draws of Toronto Red. Contrasts so well and there’s not a single other bit of exposed chrome/brushed metal on the car except the exhaust tips (and even those are black with Shadowline) and perhaps the brake rotors if you want to include those lol.

All personal preference though and the two tone wheels are not bad looking by any means.

Never liked blacked out wheels, hides the design of the wheel and mutes the overall look of a vehicle.

The correct answer is always not black.

Bite me.

Not a big fan of the stock wheels so I'd choose black.

Exactly...pick whatever and then go out and get a set of forged rims in the color and style you like best.

Vote for the bi-color wheels. What I currently have spec’ed.

I know this does not help but, I think the bi-color wheels and the black wheels look equally good on the Toronto Red. I spec the black wheels on my BG.

I prefer bi-color and have them on my TR order but might switch to black in case I want to sell them. I'm planning on some aftermarket forged wheels in gunmetal finish. I still have some time to think on it while waiting for allocation.

I prefer bicolor to emphasize the 930M's spoke pattern. IMO, the bicolor looks slightly better at rest, and LOTS better when turning on the road.

I prefer black wheels on TR for the charred tomato vibe.

Took me a while to figure why for me the bi-color look better (to me). I think a big factor
is that the bi-color wheels appear to have less spokes (I know they are the same design) and look less "busy".

Order Bi color. In future when any curb rash or repair happens, shops can easily black powder coat it, now u get 2 in one for the duration of ownership 😜
The other way around, not that easy.

I've personally been a fan of blacked-out wheels, but I agree with this comment that it does hide the design of the wheels. The bi-color wheels pop out more especially in ZB. They've grown on me but the problem is keeping them clean from brake dust

Black coordinates better with Carbon Fiber roof and black front lower portion.

Agreed. The black looks more aggressive and coordinates nicely with all the black accents - carbon roof, black front bumper elements and black rear diffuser - more sporty. The bi-colour is more of a GT, luxury vibe. There are no other elements that coordinate with the bi-colour wheels except chrome exhaust tips.

Another recommendation -

Black wheels - go with black exhaust tips
Bicolour wheels - go with chrome exhaust tips
