I don't see a adaptive cruise control sensor, does this mean the car is a 6 speed?

No, it is not standard equipment on an automatic. It is an option even on a base G87.

manual car = no acc possible
automatic = optional.

Looks great but it is no doubt out of my price range. Also, possibly no 6MT which would be a deal breaker.

I would take the cosmetic bits though and be declared a poseur.

Premature, but does anyone want to speculate what this might mean regarding a Comp version coming out? I’d like to believe this is the Comp, but the presence of a hood vent says CS. It seems weird that they wouldn’t make an M2 Comp. Base then comp then CS/CSL seems to be the way things progress, and when has there not been a Comp version? But it also seems maybe a little early in the life cycle to have the CS this far into development.

EDIT: Should have said that seems to be the way things progress for M cars in general, not just the M2. Especially since there’s only been one prior generation, the way the last gen went isn’t enough to say that’s what they’ll do this time around.

The G87 just launched, plenty of time in the lifecycle for a Comp model and BMW M was asked specifically if there is room for an M2C and they said "Yes, of course. There is always room..." Also, just because we haven't caught one testing in the wild doesn't mean it's not already in the works.

Agreed. My thought was just that it seems early to spot a CS on the Ring already. And we haven’t seen a Comp, even with all the cameras out there.

Although, come to think of it… A Comp test mule wouldn’t necessarily have to be camouflaged… Aside from the badge, would there been anything that would distinguish it visually? And there was a black M2 spotted on the Ring not too long ago I don’t think. The base car would’ve already been put through its paces on the Ring well before that.

No way, I'm GREAT at jumping to conclusions, got that from the wife.
It's a 6 speed, carbon hood and trunk and door pulls. BMW will say it has 473hp but in reality, there won't be any changes to the motor, typical BMW. MSRP is $83K.
