See, this thread was modified and our previous post were deleted. An explanation as to why would be much appreciated otherwise maybe this tread should be locked?

I let it go when I originally posted the YouTube link around lunch this afternoon and noticed shortly after that it had been removed, but to then modify this thread and delete several post from two members is unusual. Maybe we can get an explanation?

I like 8.5. Do we know when/if it will make its way into current production cars? I've got an M2 on order with Aug delivery and am wondering if it will come with 8.5.

The HVAC screen just seems a mess. Why, with a laptop sized screen, do they make the heated seat icon smaller than your fingertip?
Reminds me of the iPhone music app, with those damn letters on the side of the scrolling menus that are impossible to hit even with a fingernail!LOL! What they need to do is to put a pictogram of a seat, with 3 arrows coming out of it like the old Volvo controls: one for defrost, one for center vents, and one for floor. Anyway, it's stylish, but I wish they made it for driving. |

I have read that some models beginning with July production will receive the necessary hardware to later update OTA to ID8.5. Take that will a grain of salt though. What am I missing? A new development on JustinHEMI HEA? |

I've had the same happen to me numerous times, most recently when the G87 officially debuted I had multiple threads which I was first to post that were then deleted and posted again elsewhere. I didn't expect any explanation nor was I offered any. It's the wild west in here.

Anyway, back the the OP.
While we won't get ID 8.5, so I don't care too much, it does look nicer. And the upgraded hardware and increased update speed is a good thing. Defaulting to map view on the home screen makes sense. Like others, I'm kinda conflicted on the climate controls. And in general all the buttons looks smaller, I worry about the safety a bit. |

Edit: And if I heard that right, it would track. They would have to recompile the whole thing, as Atom is x86 and Snapdragon is ARM. It would make total sense to make the effort, since x86 is, honestly, a pretty crappy SoC platform. ARM dominates for good reasons. |
