Summary by segmentation of discussed points:

Track (Pro/skilled driver): Supra/G87 (tie) > F87

Track (Avg Bro): G87 > Supra > F87

Straight line speed: G87 > Supra > F87

Platform Potential: G87/Supra (Tie?) > F87

Daily livability: G87 > F87 > Supra

Price and Value: F87 > G87/Supra (Tie?)

Dollar for Performance/Livability: G87 > F87 > Supra

Emotion, Feel, Driving Enjoyment & Character: F87 > Supra > G87

Ease of use, wont kill you (snap oversteer), refinement, creature comforts and Jack of ALL trades: G87 > F87 > Supra

Based on all points discussed, G87 takes it for me. If I didn't need rear seats, want 6MT + dont drive it daily Supra hands down. F87 is Meh... all of its "pros" you can solve for via aftermarket.

Just under 3800lbs with a sunroof if you get the manual! Wow. Excellent video and about what I expected. They do such thorough work - love SavageGeese.

I could have done without the Scion TC comments, but all points were 100% valid. Proper objective review discussing ALL points as a reviewer should (at least for enthusiasts vs. gen pop), take notes Throttle House.

I was SHOCKED to see the Supra time though. HOLY...

Cliff notes:

- 6MT is not great but fine, better than older M cars
- S58 feels next-gen compared to B58, power is underrated
- G87 is the fastest and most capable
- Car feels immediate and sharp yet progressive in its behaviour and doesn't snap unexpectedly
- Stable and yet fun
- Feels most connected both front and rear even though character of F87 is gone
- Supra is faster around the track thanks to lighter weight, G87 has a lower skill threshold (more accessible performance) but also a lower ceiling (limits are not as high) compared to the Supra
- Overall Mark doesn't love the G87, steering doesn't have a lot of feel, brakes are digital, fake engine sound pumped in. Car is very fast and capable (best performance value at $60k) but forgettable
- Jack counters by saying it is the best all arounder in the test, great street car and daily driver and yet stupid fast and track capable with a 6MT option to boot

a much logical comparison would be that of auto g87 going against auto g42 and auto f87 instead supra, as supra is not a 4 seater and not a near ideal daily driver like g42, g87 and f87...

Pretty much G87 does everything well to an extent. Cant out perform the other 2 in terms of sheer track use, emotion and rawness. But it beats them all when considering ALL elements (outside of price).

I was just typing up my summary when yours came in. You nailed it so I don't need to finish mine. I was just surprised they used an OG F87 vs an M2C.

They didn't tell us anything we didn't already know and their review was nothing I didn't expect.

Good video! I love these guys, they crack me up when they're running around the track.

haha ya, anyone that knew all three platforms well knew what to expect.

ONLY the Supra time caught me off guard, I really thought it would have been a bit closer. not 1.0+ Seconds faster vs. G87.

The Supra time is what happens with more tire. I would argue the new M2 will get less out of stickier rubber due to its weight, and the stickier rubber will contribute to the snappier oversteer comments you heard towards the end about its balance shift.

The pro driver's style is also conducive to the Supra - he prefers living on the edge of oversteer. Different drivers will say different things about that characteristic.

Remember they upsized the OGM2's tires a bit and it still was pretty far back. I would have loved to see the G87 carbon roof version with 50 less pounds on track.

Oh 100%, pro drivers will always prefer to live near the edge where they make their money. Last thing an average joe would want is to crash/total/die playing on the edge.

then excuse me, but you cant make these comparisons, as I am saying again , supra's place is not in the 4 seater + daily driver department as the other 2:

Daily livability: G87 > F87 > Supra

Dollar for Performance/Livability: G87 > F87 > Supra

I don't know what you are arguing here. I am working within the parameters of this review, with what was said by the reviewers which is the point of this thread. You are trying to create your own isolated, hypothetical, irrelevant comparison that doesn't exist with SG yet.

Feel free to create a new thread to discuss the points you mentioned and I will 100% stay on your points based upon the thread topic. But not here.

yes, I am saying also his 2 above comparisons in the review are out of place as well when comparing with a supra

That's fine and all, but it doesnt actually provide any real feedback on the review points raised within itself.

If anything you can also throw in a mustang/camaro/challengar/ any other older gen 2 door 4 seat "sports" car. The list could be endless...

Lets stay within the confines of what was said with the focus that was provided IMO. But you do you.

Drives a G42: let's see a G42 against G87.

Guy, we get it.

I've been waiting for the SG G87 review and in this format is even better, I have been cross shopping the G87 against the Supra and even the F87.

Was wonderful to wake up to this video. Great start to the end of the week.

Being someone who is cross shopping the three, what is you takeaways from this review.

Genuinely curious, since I've already made mine prior to this review.
