Saw An M2 in the Wild
Saw a ZB M2 yesterday. I didn’t like the appearance at all. I am certain others will love it. Looked like a transformer to me. So overdone and boxy. I am not hating on anyone for getting an M2. I have no doubt it is a serious car. Just my first impressions seeing one in person. Let me put on my flame suit, insert mouth guard, clasp chin strap, and position nut protector before posters respond.

I can see what you're saying, but I still need to see one in person to pass judgement. All I've seen is photographs, and even with the M240i it looks much better in person. It really needs to be photographed at the right angle to capture how it looks in person.

Local dealers here are asking $10-20k over MSRP so I've had a chance to see the M2 in person a few times now these past 2 weeks in a few different colors. Definitely looks better in person than in pictures but overall it is not an attractive car. While the widebody look is cool the boxy front/rear bumpers and bulbous sideskirts just looks odd. It's universally awkward looking. The M240i does indeed look better.

I have seen a ZB parked and a BG on the highway...neither is the best color for this car...I would seriously consider trading my 240 for a TR or maybe BSM...love how wide it is and those tailpipes are huge!

Saw a zb m2 two days ago at my dealer going in for 1 year service,I personally thought it looked pretty good, not good enough that i felt I needed to trade in the m240 ,my biggest problem with the car is no xdrive yet,but if that becomes a option I would be a lot more interested then I am right now,I love my xdrive 240i

If I wanted more performance than my M240i Xdrive, right now I think I would skip over the M2 and consider the Corvette Stingray. The base price on the Stingray is only $2,300 more than the base price on the M2. Bob |

Lego / Minecraft. That's my take from photos and from seeing the baby blue one at Cars and Coffee twice already (same owner, great guy). It does look better in person than in the photos for sure. I prefer the G42's looks but I respect the G87 and its S58. The owner did mention that the shifter feels "rubbery" like a lot of the video reviewers mentioned but then again, he used to have a Honda S2000 that had an amazing manual transmission. "Comparison is the thief of joy" as they say.

not gonna argue, from some angles the proportions still look way off. no need to get into more, it's been discussed ad nasuem online. though one design feature I just couldn't get over in the pictures of the G87 was the bifid snout nose around the front grill, I just couldn't get the resemblance to a pig snout out of my mind. in person it wasn't nearly as pronounced.

The M2 has a rugged handsomeness. Could use some work? Sure, but overall it isn't a bad looking car. Now, the M4....

I've only seen the G87 M2 in ZB and I agree with most that, it's better looking in person than the press photos. However... it's still really boxy/angular, and not in a good way. G42 appearance-wise is definitely the winner IMO. I imagine BSM hides most of those goofy angles but still. At least the G87 has body-colored rocker panels...
