Went to BMW Seattle and test drove their G87 M2 today.

Initial impression was that it doesn’t look as bad in person as it does in photos. Except that their M2 had a lot of M Performance parts on it. They are terrible in my opinion. Really hate the carbon flames on the wheel wells.

The car is definitely bigger than our M2s. You have a long hood to look over. Great power and a very well balanced car. If I needed a new car I would buy one of these except I would pass on the M Performance parts. I really liked the new sport seats and HUD.

Did it make me want to sell my OG M2? No. I felt my car was much more fun to drive and I like the smaller proportions.

I could do without the extra mass/dimensions as well.

No problem my OCD goes overload with little effort lol …

I think it’s an android thing has something to do with the Bimmerpost app not shaking hands properly

So what was your overall impression of the car? Does it feel really heavy? Did it feel good to drive?

Was it a stick, or Automatic ? Did your wife like it?

The pictures were taken with an iPhone.

Overall it is a very competent car. Feels much bigger and more like an M4. It probably is the best current M car. It was an auto M2.

I probably won’t like it. I like smaller cars for the most part.

Will look way better without all that shit stuck all over it, just needs a drop & some tasteful aftermarket bits. Stay well away from the Mperformance stuff.

That M performance crap makes it look super tacky

All for some bizarre reason all G87’s need an immediate drop because they come all jacked up from the factory

How did you test drive it? Did you just schedule an appointment? Did you need to show your interests in buying it?
I also wanna test drive this in Seattle. But this package is stacked up too much. Still the only one right now.
