Must be all kinds of delays or another chip shortage or something.

Mine seems to be progressing. Was in 'production begins' for about 3 weeks, then today passed two other steps and now in 'Entering assembly line'. No carbon fiber in my build.

Encouraging news. I am slated for week 20 and hoping it gets pulled in. No carbon pack, so selfishly hoping/assuming that helps considering the carbon pack configs are being pushed out.

The situation is the same for me- built early. Delays are for very specific options or items possibly.

Same here looks like my car finished production on Saturday, one week ahead of my build week. No carbon bucket seats or carbon roof in my spec...

Must be a carbon fiber thing. I can’t get a replacement front carbon splitter for my M2 CS either. On back order for the foreseeable future across the entire US.

Wow you guys are giving me hope. I'm also week 20, but still in production begins stage. Do you guys have carbon trims? Hopefully it's just the bucket seats that's causing delays.

I am a Week 19 production that seems to have been built in Week 18 (confirmed on the phone with the genius), nothing carbon in my spec.

I'm Week 19 and I've been stuck in "Production Begins" for 2 weeks... no carbon bits here. Genius told me a few days ago it is slated to be done with production tomorrow but I have my doubts.

My full carbon went from 112-scheduled Monday 5/8 to 150-Production Started the next day 5/9!

Wow 😮!! This is not good news if this is accurate. Not sure what he means by ‘the other stuff that goes along with carbon seats”. If it were just a choice between carbon seats and getting the car this year, I might be willing to forego that option only. I guess we’ll see when my allocation comes up. Thoughts?

Not listening to 11+ minutes of his ramblings but not sure we should be taking the words of "Archie in in the UK" as gospel, especially for those in the USA.

Will the cf buckets possibly cause a delay, possibly. Will carbon roof and other trim option cause the same delay as the cf buckets, I would have my doubts and want to hear it from BMW themselves.

Just called BMW Genius again and I am still a week 27 build.

That's exactly what I did when I grabbed my HEA. Luckily it has carbon everywhere except the seats. A lot of HEAs don't have the carbon trim.
