Specs of OEM factory G87 M2 wheels and tires?

Hi All,

I got to see a G87 in person today and got to sit inside it. I was really impressed with the quality of the interior. The curved screen was really nice and I liked the exhaust note. I was a critic of the car when it was unveiled and am still not sold on it but am warming up to it. The rear end of the car is not as bad as I thought it would be (the front though I am still having some doubts with).

Anyway, the reason for this thread is I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they know the specs of the wheels (fitment) or the spec of the tires. I have been trying to decide, if I place an order for the car, if I go with the 1000M wheels or get aftermarket wheels in the same size of the OEM wheels...just lighter. Only way I can do that is know the specs of the OEM wheels. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance all.

Oh...the car was Zandvoort Blue which looked really nice. If you have not seen it in person just think Carolina Blue. It is pretty close to that.

Also don’t forget the current BMW bolt pattern and centrebore is now 5x112mm and 66.6mm compared with the old 5x120mm and 72.6mm size on F-series and earlier vehicles.

Yup, I knew the change in the wheel pattern. Did not know about the centrebore! Thanks again!!

You will also enjoy this video, it gives you a good idea on the spacer offset you can run.

Great info, thank you!
Will the M827 wheels work with the stock tire configuration?

Don’t buy this one. They’re asking for a $10k ADM on a car with over 500 miles on it.

Yes, the size and fitment specs of the 827M wheels are the same as the stock 930M wheels.

Anyone know the stock wheel & tire weight? Or actually just the wheels?

So, if I’m putting 18mm spacers on F & R my offset is essentially ET2?

Does that mean that I should be looking at +2 offsets or around that for aftermarket wheels to maintain the same amount of flushness?

Correct. Although to be pedantic you are going from -20mm to -2mm, but it is rare to find wheels with + values.

Thanks, coming from the Subbie world and recently a new Bronco, STi flush fitment is like +38 to +40 and Broncos with a little poke are 0 offset. I went with +38 on my STi for flush and like a +18 on my Bronco to have the tires tucked a bit more so I’m not throwing rocks.

Sorry Im still confuse. So for BMW M2 G87 like the guys using 18 mm spacers all around to get flush. Do I indicate -2 or +2 offset to get the flush fit for custom wheels?
To add, If the Stocks wheels are ET20 and Im adding in 18mm spacers to push out the wheel that would mean +38 offset right?

I would verify with a wheel manufacturer what they are quoting, as ET values are almost always shown as positive, even though they are an inset or negative offset. A 20mm spacer on an M2 wheel would give a 0mm offset and effectively be ET0. If you want the wheel 2mm further in on the hub than the wheel centreline, that would normally be quoted as an ET2 wheel.

18mm spacers would make the aftermarket wheel (without spacers) be +2. OEM wheels are +20.

Use something like this. It makes it really easy to visualize what is happening with different wheel sizes, offsets, spacer use, etc.
