MHD v4.07 - MHD+ Live Adjust? Adjust various tune settings on the fly?

Anyone tried this yet?

Just got this update (or maybe i shouldn't have). Haven't yet connected up to
the car, just wondering what this is about. There is nothing out on various MHD sites including in their user manual that talks about this.

All that says is,

"Added ability to live adjust current map slot / exhaust flap in-app for ... Gen1 B58".

It is exactly what it says:

For the exhaust valves, you get the ability to force open, force close or stick to the OEM logic on the fly. (This was previously possible with BimmerLink, but not MHD).

For the maps - you get the possibility to switch between the slots (Multi-Map) from your phone, in addition to your steering wheel, on the fly.

Thanks. So if doing this from app, for whatever reason, then obviously you'll need to have adapter/dongle with obd2 connection, for testing purposes or drive that way.

I'll just stick with SW approach. And i keep the exhaust valves i don't fiddle around with it anyway, other than force to open always in sport driving mode.

I thought this change somehow would make multi-map more "useful" than is is currently, but i'm wrong...

I heard somewhere that in Germany some police officers are aware of the mapswitch features on the wheel. This is another option to “hide” it. If it’s true then the Germans would be happy with this

BM3 has had Live Adjust since the very first day they released their BM3 CustomROM. MHD could have at least tried to name it differently years later

Beware that there is apparently a bug that comes with the new app, (although the maps themselves have not changed and are still at v. 3.6) where releasing from WOT has a noticeable lag. Users have complained. MHD are looking into it.
I would recommend not reflashing the car with the v. 4.07 MHD app until the bug is fixed or issue clarified.

I was about to make a comment on this and I thought my car had a trans problem. Thank you Skyhigh for giving us awareness about it. My tuner said to flash the brap as on until they release a fix for this.

I’ve been having this issue since last year but now my car started accelerating after downshifting with the new V4.07 update.

That’s what my tuner said as well, have you been having this issue for a while or just recently?

V1.09 is out...seems to have fixed it. But holy crap that was scary when it happened to me the first time. Right when you let up, full throttle near redline the car hits it for another second.

It seems like this issue is new for a lot of people, I’ve had this issue for a while. It just seems after V4.07 the issue got way worse and it started happening while downshifting for me. I was making 15psi while downshifting lol.

Lol not good. Did you try V4.09 and does it fix it?

Yea I uploaded V4.09 yesterday and it’s good now so far. No more accelerating on its own from the car.

Would you recommend folks on V4.06 to also upgrade to V4.09?

Seems like you were also seeing issue like this with earlier than V4.07 release.

I’m not sure, if you are having the issue that I was having than yes. If not, than it’s up to you to upgrade to the newest update. I’m not familiar with all the updates on MHD, so I’m not sure if the newest update is always the way to go.

No reason why not to flash with 4.09 if you had flashed with 4.07.

No immediate reason to flash with either though, unless you are planning to use the new live control functionality. I haven’t.

Me neither. The gen 1 B58 has been on v3.6 maps for quite a while now. I am waiting for a new map version and reviews before I flash again.

Well, if you change settings you will inevitably use the newest app version and MHD basic software on the DME, but as I understand the issue above is now resolved.

4.07 had a bug. 4.09 should be fine.
