Car is away for a week. Dropped off at Oakes Detail in West Chester, PA for some protection. The owner Nick shoots straight and his work product / space is always impressive.

I normally don't do full PPF bc most of it is sunk cost... but middle ground below - def subjective!

XPEL full front & high impact
XPEL Fusion Ceramic body and wheels (dropped off new wheels with him)
XPEL XR 20% tint

Wow full month..lot's of changes and a Sunday morning is the perfect time to document.

Picked up from Oakes Detail on 6/28. Work breakdown:

- Two Step Paint Correction
- Full front, rockers, mirrors, hood, rear quarters and all high impact areas wrapped in Suntek PPF
- Paint coated with Modesta BC04 and new wheels (not stocks) coated in Modedta BC06
- Suntek CIR 20% Tint

Big shoutout to Nick and the Oakes Detail team. They kept me informed throughout the process and the end result is top notch. This is my third car with him and I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a premium experience.

I don't claim to be first but in this case, I am. After PPF and coating, installed my BBS LM's courtesy of a Bimmerpost deal 3 months ago.

These photos are pre-suspension and not surprisingly...got toasted online about it. "Monster truck" lol.. I know these JDM setups aren't for everyone but I think the combination is really special.

Work done at my shop Race Precision Inc in West Chester, PA. Lowered on the KW HAS, 10/12 Macht Snell Spacers, and my new BBS setup.

Lowered with wheels and tint, and the G87 completely transforms. Was cool getting props from the likes of Schaferen and 15k other car enthusiasts on TikTok. Deserving to the car, it looks insane. In terms of ride, feels really similar to stock.

Have an R44 kit on order. Having some ship delays on three pieces but Rhys and the R44 team were able to deliver the lip and skirts in time for the Kies Auto Show prep.

Fitment and quality is on point. They mount with 3M and the OEM bolts. There is additional hardware and screws included to ensure proper hold...small drilling into the car is not great but I suppose that is to be expected. I will say, the R44 guys are transparent in their build process and you can definitely tell the difference between this product and some wholesale alibaba type. Something as small as inspection stickers makes a big difference in my first impression of the product.

With the help of my buddy Mike, we were able to install the front lift. We planned on using the quick jack the skirts weren't easily accessible so we just ended up doing the front lip. Nothing like some friendly beer labor on a Saturday night.

Last minute prep at the show...3M'd the R44 skirts on without drilling. That's now fixed but it was a stressful ride home. The Bimmers United rally & Kies Auto Show ending up being an amazing time. Tons of cool cars & good people.. and I appreciate them donating to charity.

Machineswithsouls made a good point about these shows, in that not everything needs to be a transaction. Sometimes the best shows are just a bunch of supportive homies hanging out and talking cars.
