Are you paying dealer markups?

I’m seeing my local BMW dealer with 10k markup. However, for those that are ordering their car, are you paying markups? The new M2 is in my top 3 and pretty much #1. However, a dealer markup will make that change in my mind. I’m a few months away from putting in my order but wanted to get a sanity check now.

Got mine at 1K under MSRP but that’s only because I used my veteran discount.

Order and no markup. But if you find any low volume dealers that get an allocation you may be able to avoid it as well.

Definitely not here in Northern CA. Steven's Creek BMW had one out front for $20k over MSRP. LOL And many other M cars for at minimum of $10k over. The sales managers there at that location sure most be on something pretty grand (no pun intended)...

I’m 20th on the list but was promised msrp. Surely so far down the line (18 months?) even the crazy dealers won’t ask for adms. Now a CS, that might be diff.

I was trying to get a Type R, Supra Manual, Nissan Z, GR Corolla at MSRP but dealers are all being nasty. So I went and ordered an M2 at MSRP. I have put those greedy ass dealers that are giving me adm on my shit list. I will never go to them even when they are selling at MSRP or below.

That is a wide range of different types of cars, of different quantities and different performance. Sounds like you were just doing random car shopping and did not know what you want (or was just shopping for best price?). I would say most here who went with, or is going with, the M2 had chosen and targeted that M2 from the start.

Oh, to answer...msrp.

I am a manual fan and they are all manual cars. It's not random, I have a list of manual cars I want. I am already looking at my next car even thou the M2 won't be here for another 2-3 months.

Irvine wanted 10k, said 2.5k, they countered at 5k. Walked away, as I really wanted the carbon package.
