I watched this a few hours ago and was debating posting this in the M2 vs.. forum under the F87. We need one for the G87, not sure why it’s still grouped in the same forum as the G42 when looking at it on the app

No what I mean is when you look at the G87 forum on the app, it’s in the same space as the G42 for some reason. It’s different when looking at it on the web version. In the F87 forum, they have a subforum called “M2 vs…” which is dedicated to content like this where the M2 is being tested against other cars. I was just saying we could probably have a subforum like that too along with getting rid of the G42 forums when looking at the G87 subforums.

YouTube needs to bring back public dislike counts. Nothing against the video in particular, it’s OK and it’s free. But dislike counts were the ultimate timesaver; seems Youtube wants us to commit to at least a commercial break or two before backing out.

A more interesting competition would have been on a road course, yet almost no one ever wants to expose how bad most EVs perform there. The biggest issue with that is going to be finding someone who can actually drive it; launch control takes much of the skill out of a drag race, so skilled drivers aren't as important.

Does everyone who reviews cars these days seem like they want to speak like Doug to introduce a car..? 😂 12.3/4 @120 Mph for 1/4 mile trap is no joke.. Was that 120 Mph for 1/4 mile trap speed..? If so that’s pretty damn fast!

My issues:

1. Blathering about launch control… it’s not hard to activate.

2. No handling or braking test with the Trashla

3. Failure to talk about how ICE engines lose power at altitude (lower air density/less oxygen intake). EV does not suffer at all.

4. Failure to discuss why trap speeds are high relative to ET. Trap speeds are inflated due to less air resistance. Similar to why ET is deflated (although that is specific to oxygen not overall air density).

I think the Trashla might be a smidge faster in 1/4 at sea level still but will get smashed everywhere else.

You can tell that kid wasn’t using the launch control properly. When it’s done correctly, the back end squats down. I guarantee a different outcome with someone that knows what they’re doing
