Name that Tune
Got this whistling/whining sound that’s developed in the past couple weeks. Seems like it’s associated with the AC or cooling system. Starts soon after startup and will wind down and sometimes reappear. It does change pitch.

M2siast Just using the iPhone mic. Might try another approach. Most likely, I’ll figure out how to reproduce it and take it in for service. Thanks for listening.

Not sure. Might be a fan bearing or maybe I’m just too sensitive to sounds. Not worried. If it’s a problem, BMW will take care of it.

Mine does the same exact thing when it's hot outside. Pretty confident it's the AC system. Sometimes when my wife is leaving and I am in the garage, it sounds like a bus it's so loud. But after a few seconds it goes away and sounds normal.

[QUOTE=99Turbo;30245509]bernard1414 Thanks for the feedback. Since I’m in Phoenix, I guess it will be around for a while. I’ll see what the service department says.
Definitely interested to hear the feedback, due to our temps being above 100 or even 110 so many days out of the year. |
