AFE dry panel filter
Anyone tried one of these?
Avoids any potential issues with a K&N and getting oil on the MAF sensor. Not expecting and real world power gains. I’m more focused on improving throttle response and smoothing out low end transition in to boost which can sometimes feel a little on/off on my M240i Xdrive. Also, I believe the G20 m340i filter fits the G42. https://www.mlperformance.co.uk/prod...340i-a90-supra |

High-flow filters improve the airflow to your turbo, providing greater breathing space at high RPMs. Data we've seen suggests an improvement of approximately 5-10 wheel horsepower, but it's critical to note that this gain occurs over a relatively narrow 2K RPM range.
In day-to-day driving, this increase is not noticeable; however, if you track your car or participate in professional time trials, it can contribute to better performance times.

I’m also hoping it smooths out the low end torque a little which is a reason for adding the AFE filter. Also for fast road use when I’m up in the higher revs the extra flow and a few HP will be welcome 👍 |

It’s one of those mods that if someone installed it without your knowing you wouldn’t know it’s there. It for sure isn’t going to change torque curves. |
