Stage 2 G87 M2 Hits The Dyno
If you’ve been following along with the M2 build on YouTube or Instagram then you’ll know I just installed downpipes and single sided midpipe (sounds great)
After that install, I flashed the stage 2 OTS bootmod3 tune. Stage 2 is such a massive difference from stock that it made me want to get the car on a dyno. The only dyno that I have close to me here in Tucson is a mustang dyno. Mustang dyno’s notoriously read about 10-15% below what they should, at least that’s what I’ve been told and then confirmed with a quick google search. We did three runs on the dyno - run 1 was 555hp and each run after was 558. Something to note is that ambient temps in the dyno room were 108 degrees, with IAT’s being between 122-123 degrees. Also, this is on pump 91 octane (horrible I know) So I imagine it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that on a dyno jet with cooler weather we would be well over 600 hp. Which is wild to me! Just a downpipes and a flash tune. Overall, I’m super impressed with the results and the car is very fast and is still a perfect daily driver. In my opinion of course. Up next I’ll be installing the flex fuel kit from bootmod3 and then pushing an e50 tune and then eventually custom tuning. Would love for you to subscribe and stay tuned for that content! As always, happy to answer any questions. |
