Khaki Green G87 M2 Build from South Korea /@peaches_ryo

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Dear friends,

It's my pleasure to come back to the community and share my journey with everyone. I received one of the first G87 M2s delivered in South Korea and I actually love this little machine so much.

I am owning few cars currently including Huracan STO, Murci Pre-LP manual, E30 LTO manual, E36M3 Euro manual, E46 M3 manual and will be my pleasure to share some comparison with those too. Honestly, among those I completely fell in love with G87.

M2 is in Sapphire Black now, but will be wrapped in Inozetek Khaki Green soon as I am transforming all my cars into one tone.

Day 1 of my build.

- APEX VS-5RS 19inch Square set-up
- Ohlins Road&Track
- Eventuri Carbon Intake
- Future Classic Titanium Stud kit
- Motorsports+ DRL module
- Few M Performance Parts (mirrors, intake duct)
- RKP wheel house inliner
- JQwerks Madtrace paddle shifter

Finding of the day 1
- Overall weight of the car delivered in Korea - 1710kg
- Weight of 20inch rear wheel/pc - 13.5kg

Milestone of the day 1
- Net weight reduction to 1690kg with wheels + parts
- got rid of hideous wheel house gap

I am excited to share this with you all.

Best,
Ryo

Very cool! This will for certain be featured on the first page, and I look forward to seeing the progress!!

Car looks amazing! Let us know what you think of it compared to your other cars when you can.

Question: why didn't you choose a more performance-oriented tire like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S? Availability maybe?

Keep them coming!

Hi there buddy,

Thank you so much for the compliment I think this is only the beginning of the exciting journey.

Definitely, I will share back to back experience with those cars. Especially with some similar size old M3s too.

Yes, first I aimed for SUR4G fron nexen but only option I could go was PS5 as Michelin stopped PS4S in S.Korea
This is my first time using PS5 so I will get back with some feedback and opinions on it!

+_+

Thank you mate!

I think I chose some safe route for the phase 1 especially with the wheels too. My end goal will be carbon barrel dymag lol.

I appreciate your feedback and glad we can share the journey.

What a compliment!

I was like 50/50 on G87 too as I like the beautiful looking cars. It took ages for me to understand G8X M3/M4. But this G87 has something I guess.

It surely has some potential on mods. I did purchase not seeing the car in person, but glad I got this in black so far!

Let's keep going on this thread

I really like the Apex wheels you chose. I’ve been considering them in 20” for my 2023 M550i in anthracite. My car is skyscraper grey wrapped in XPEL Stealth PPF. How have you liked them so far?

This actually is my first time using APEX and their VS-5RS, especially in Motorsports Gold.

I heard when APEX made this gold wheel, they took a look at GT2/3RS light gold wheels so the color is pretty subtle and low-key.

I strongly think you would not regret going with that choice too

Brushed Clear is a safe choice but I think Motorsport Gold can be a tasteful one too with anthracite. I will look forward to seeing it very soon!

The G87 community is one of the best! Just like the E82 one! Don't fret the non-G87 owners you will encounter, do not let them discourage you when/if they come around.

We understand how special the car is and share the passion of seeing you putting it together to your tastes!

Thank you WagonMaverick!

Khaki Green is one of my favorite low key color but I am not sure yet how it will look (bit nervous).

Trying to align with some of mine and here is the example.

HAHAHAH!!! Right, I encounter similar things in Korean one. Somehow there is a huge debate on the looks of G87 (and some on the weight).

I really appreciate your welcoming and last line of "coming to our tastes." Let this trip begin!

Most definitely!

Korea launched the online edition (yes, they drop cars online like Supreme) in z blue and somehow I was not sure on the color.

And I ended up getting black G87 faster than that online edition. Love it!

Sorry, to clarify I was looking at the Apex wheel being in anthracite. Here is my car which is skyscraper grey in a matte “stealth” ppf:
What do you think for Apex wheel color? All of my trim is black so not sure gold or clear is a good choice.

Oh my bad! Skyscraper grey with anthracite would be a perfect pair. I think that case gold or clear would stand out too much.

Skyscraper grey with anthracite will be tone on tone mood in different material feels. I think you won't go wrong with that!
