Center Quad Exhaust
New to this forum and will have an M2 allocation in a few weeks..
I have read numerous comments about the center quad exhaust being way over priced.. but I don't see any reference to who makes the exhaust for BMW or sound clips.. I believe I did see that it's a titanium muffler can...Does anyone have info to help understand what we get for $8k ?? beside being laughed at by the community .... |

Not sure if it's made by a company other than BMW (it might not, like the seats), but the price in the US is not 8k, that's in Canada. It's $5600:
https://www.alexanderbmwaccessories....Shoppable=true And it costs this much because it comes with these parts: Part # 18305A6A720 BMW M Performance Exhaust System in Titanium 18305A86350 BMW M Performance Exhaust Tips in Titanium 51125A46B54 BMW M Performance Rear Diffuser in Carbon Fiber, MPP Exhaust 18305A6A6A7 BMW M Performance Tailpipe Finisher Module in Titanium The diffuser is needed to accommodate the different exhaust tips arrangement. I supposed, based on the parts above, it's an axle back exhaust (so pretty much a cow udder replacement) with the tips. |

If you are willing to spend that kind of money, get the Akrapovic and the diffuser of your liking. Will look, perform and sound better.
The Valvetronic full catback stainless or titanium is a far more economical option and equally as good, performance wise. |

Not for me, but I understand who likes the looks. Watched a video and the sound wasn’t night and day different. |

Yeah, me neither. I honestly don’t understand what BMW was thinking with most of these parts. But happy for the folks who like and can afford them and get the added warranty.

300CPSI sport cats, EL midpipe + M performance axleback would be my dream setup if money was irrelevant. Hoping a 3rd party company creates a MP exhaust lookalike for a fraction of the price.

I hope so too, but I'm not sure I have the patience to wait. Whenever I get my allocation, I'll be seriously considering the MP exhaust. I know it is visually controversial, but I personally love the look. I'm going for an aggressive, slightly over the top aesthetic.
