I've looked around and didn't see this posted yet. Apologies if it's a duplicate. I think it's one the M2 owners will be happy to see.

Just saw this article. G87 M2 is quite a weapon. Now if mine will just leave the factory. Was built on 6/30/23. Ugh.

You will love it. I have had mine since April. It really is surprising. People always talk about the weight. But it is so planted. Much more than my f82 M4 which was a more untamed car. I do miss that car but this one really does it all. Did you go for manual?

Fantastic article!

Love this line:

"Whatever the case, the M2 is just more fun."

Where are all of the haters and Supra honks from earlier this year? Helloooooooo....

My TR M2 (6MT, CF roof) is built, and awaiting shipping. Can't wait to get it!!!

I'm definitely excited. Its been a year wait. Hoping mine will arrive before the end of summer. Would like to get the initial 1200 mile service completed before it goes into storage for the winter. I live in NW Pennsylvania.

“The M2 uses the same engine as the M3/M4, and torque output is the same for the manual versions of those cars, yet, BMW mapped the output to be more smooth in its delivery. The result is an engine that never hits you over the head with an unexpected slug of torque at some absurdly low RPM, and one that encourages revving beyond 6000 rpm.”

This is what TH guys wiffed, and one thing that annoyed me about the M3 power delivery. If you want 0-60 acceleration in the 3.2s range, it’s great. If you want a car that encourages high revving, and more reasonable engagement at lower RPMs especially in manual form … the M2 is a better tool for the purpose.

Now can we get the same setup in an M coupe please.

I agree. Power delivery is progressive and the manual is great. My tires are lasting longer than expected because of it. On my f82 M4 I had the dct and burned through the rear tires much faster.

Hi Throttle House. You cats might want to find a new day job. Thats a review. Not acting and BS on video. This offered more than any video issued thus far.

A good credit goes to the Supra. A capable and good sportscar it is as well.

Not to be a negative Nelly, but he’s referencing the M2 vs. the M4 as being more fun. He doesn’t state the M2 is more fun than the Supra.

Remember, people always take a side to justify their purchase. This is not over. I would never get this car and a six speed and there’s one good reason because Bmw has not updated it in the past 10 years.

MY2024 is coming as a auto.. coming from my 2020 M4 comp with DCT. I will miss the edginess of the DCT but will enjoy the smoothness of ZF….

You don’t have to put down other peoples reviews just to make yourself feel better remember people.. everybody’s going to have their opinion and everybody’s going to have their own review on this vehicle.

Thanks!

If you praise a car you’re a shill. If you criticise a car you’re a hater. ‘Tis internet logic my friend

Sounds like they loved the M2.

Makes me wonder what direction they'll go with the Comp / CS.....

He did say he's trying to buy the M2 press car he's been driving around. I think that's a bit more substantial of an endorsement

So thrilled for you guys that you finally found a review you're happy with. They say good things come to those that wait.

I especially like the excitement for not having low-end torque. That's a new praise I haven't heard before, but it sounds amazing! And the thrill of driving around town over 6,000 RPMs is going to make you really popular with the mod'd Civic's and Corolla's as you complete 99.9% of your miles on the street.

I’d be salty too if I spent a bunch of money on a B58 car right before BMW dropped an S58 in. It’s ok

Yes overall this car made me take reviews really lightly. Until you drive and own the car, you can't really worry about what people say. I hated the Zandvoort Blue online but once I saw it in person I went with it. People love the car. Noone ever said it doesnt look good.I don't drive this car back to back with all of its competitors like reviewers do. It blows my mind that it's this good and I don't really too much how it compares. In the real world it's fantastic. I love the feel of the shifter. I am just happy because I always wanted a manual BMW and it's great. You have to make up your own mind and this purchase really changed my perspective on listening to what others say.

Let me understand. You say the reviewer/s who like your car is a professional reviewer. But the reviewer that doesn't like your car as much is not professional. This sounds as completely unbiased and fair opinion
Ask yourself these two questions:
1. Why do you care what guys from TH think about the M2?
2. Did you find their other reviews funny/interesting/informative?
