BMW X5 4.8is

I found a 2006 BMW X5 4.8is with 111k at a pretty damn good price. I'm looking for some input because It looks like I'll be purchasing another vehicle sometime this month. The reason is that some guy ran a red light and likely totaled my 2003 Z4. All the help and insight would help me out tremendously. Also, it would be great if you have any ideas on a suitable replacement.
