Looking for opinions here. I'm tired of the halogens and want LED, mostly for night driving visibility, but also for looks. After doing research I've decided to go aftermarket and get a plug and play solution rather than messing with wiring harnesses trying to retrofit an OEM LED headlight.

I've found this store on Aliexpress (AOKEDING) that sell 3 units but I'm indecisive of what look would fit better my car. This is the stock look from bimmer.work and the 3 options. I think I want to do the OEM-looking ones but unsure if I want the ones with the projectors or not. The regular LED ones look a lot like the F30 LCI LED OEM ones, the ones with projector look more like the OEM Xenons. Bimmerpost thread about Halogen vs LED for reference

Well, the nightime visibility and the looks are two different things imo.

1. For immediate improvement in night time visibility consider replacing aged halogen bulbs with LED bulbs - that's the minimum expense while retaining OEM headlight housings (read: higher quality).

2. Next you could acquire used set of OEM headlights from the salvage yard/wrecker.

3. Beware of the aftermarket headlights in terms of quality, but most importantly in terms of beam pattern. If available, you should be acquiring headlights for RHD vehicles since you live/drive in UK. Most of the Ali available headlights are LHD by default. Ask the seller, whichever choice from above you make. My vote goes to #2 (LED, non-projector style). #3 LED projectors look similar to Xenon projectors to me - the projector lenses are a visual focal point when you look at the lights.
