i fast forwarded to the end for the review. seems to think its a good car but that its basically a clone of the M4 and doesn't feel much different. so its basically personal preference between them which one you want. he also pointed out this car was modded with aftermarket springs, which paired with the stock shocks make the ride bouncy.

"Plenty of power. Plenty of weight". Great line. I was at The Ring on the 15th in an M240 x-Drive. Great car for The Ring.

Nice! 18:00 - 19:00 min just makes me laugh watching the passengers facial expressions...Priceless. Can't say I'd be any better.
BTW finally got my G87 M2 3 days ago, 1000 miles so far, break in service early next week, mods start Monday. I got the 6MT after not driving a manual for 20 years. Takes some getting used to for sure but I love it. Early impressions is that's it's better then my '22 G80 M3 Xdrive comp on turn in and a more true feel with the 6MT. The clutch throw seems very long, and it engages very high. I need to fix this along with the 6MT gates which seem extraordinarily long. Will fix shortly.

None of the MPerformance parts actually do anything for performance. Had to explain this to a M4 driver why his fancy BMW wing doesn’t help him at all at Road Atlanta just today. Buyer beware. If you want max performance out of a stock-ish car, do camber plates, pads, perhaps wheels/tires and keep the stock suspension. It’s amazing. Also be aware that the new BMW brake by wire system will vary the brake pressures to cover for you without any change in brake pedal feel, even if your brakes are starting to fade. Again, buyer beware.

In essence: the brakes behave the same way since BMW started adding “nannies” in the E90 (and perhaps the E46, but I’m inexperienced with those). |

If this car has the star spec PS4S tires & factory wheels, I wonder what Misha could've done on these 2 laps. Having that thinner sidewall makes the car a bit more touch when absorbing bumps mid corner at high speeds. Glad to see him pushing the car pretty hard here & the Millteck sounded great too!

He certainly was not fan of the normal PS4S on that M2, he said the car definitely needed more grip. |

That guy messed with springs, wheels and tires for aesthetic reasons and made the car's dynamics worse. On the road at slow speed it might be negligible, but on a (bouncy) track driving at those levels an experienced driver can feel the difference. Last edited by VIERsr; 08-27-2023 at 01:52 AM.. |

My mistake. I presumed he was a professional race car driver. I've watched a ton of car review Youtube videos including test drives with Randy Pobst, etc. and this guy appears to knock it out with the best of them.

Quick search to find this https://www.bmwblog.com/2020/08/05/f...e-2021-bmw-m3/ I’m sure you can find it in the official BMW literature as well. Anyway, whatever you felt in the pedal is part of the braking algorithm. All I’m saying that some people have had weird pedal feel at the track - then again I don’t have direct experience and who knows, they may have had a malfunctioning brake system.
