6MT Gear Ratios
I couldn't find these anywhere for the M2, but assume it's the same as the M3/M4. I found this previous post.
https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1836631 Does 3rd gear go all the way up to 107mph? That's pretty long gearing, as everyone has been talking about... |

I too kept reading about how the gearing was too tall but when I looked into it I found that the top speed in each gear is a few miles per hour lower than my E90 M3. I never had any complaints about the gearing on my M3. You’re not going to redline third on the street but it’s still very enjoyable. It really shines on the track.
Everyone’s preferences are different though and some may prefer shorter gears. That can be solved with a change to the rear diff ratio. Way cheaper than re-gearing of the transmission.
