Teen Driving School at Spartanburg

I’m starting to plan a trip to Spartanburg for my daughter to do the teen driving school next year. Do parents ride along with them or do the kids go out on their own? I’m thinking of doing the one day M school for myself and just trying to figure out how many days to plan for. Any advice is appreciated.

Once I get my car, I am planning on booking that experience for new BMW Owners. However, after that, I was exploring the teen driver experience for the future (I have to wait another 1.5 years for my daughter to be eligible).

From what I gathered on, the kids have 1-on-1 time with an instructor on the track (teens only). And similar to you, I would also look to coordinate an M driver's session for myself during that same day (or next day).

I hope that things work out and would love to hear your experiences!

Gave my Grandson & Granddaughter the SC teen driving school as a HS graduation presents. Both had over a years experience on the road before the school.

They both had a great time. Well worth the price. AFAIK the only adults with then are the BMW instructors.

Personally think having a family member adult in the car is bad idea. My only advice to them was to drive the cars as hard as they can. If you lose it have the instructor go over the why it was lost & what you should have done to correct the error.

This location will most likely be the only safe location to actually experience car control at the edge until & if they take an adult course.

BMWCCA (along with other orgs) runs the Tirerack Street Survival courses as well for teen drivers. I coach at these and they are really great programs that I recommend for any teen driver. We do not take family members in the cars except at the very end for the kids to show their parents what they learnt during the day.
