MST intake with turbo inlet is a huge improvement in sound. I wish I would have done this mod first instead of nearly a year after getting the car.

I've watched a lot of videos on downpipes so it seems you'll probably get a much raspier exhaust note. MST intake will accentuate your turbo spool sound. In terms of performance, I believe there was a carwow video where a JB4 was able to destroy a M2 off the line.

Just added AA downpipe to my MPE catback. Standing rev is def raspy, driving, WOT, coming to a stop shifts everything really else sounds way better. Comfort/ECO still quiet enough for the neighborhood. You will also hear the turbo alot more through the exhaust.

You’ll hear the turbo whoosh and blowoff all the time now, even at partial throttle and your stock exhaust will be ~25% louder now with the AA downpipe. You’re cold starts even with the valve closed will be a lot louder.

The m240i actually beat the m2 off the line without the jb4 on. Something with the m2 cutting to much power during launch to stop wheel spin? With the JB4 the m240 destroyed the m2 off the line. Rolling from iether 30 or 40 the m2 beat the pants off the m240 without the jb and still beat the 240 but was more of a slow pull away when the jb4 was turned on. I do not know which map they were using,l, and again the m2 was stock. |

If you ordered from us, it takes 3 business days on average to ship; on normal weeks, it can take up to 5 business days. Since we are running an insane active sale, it's a little backed up. I'd give it up to 7 business days. you ordered on the 8th; that's a Friday. when you posted, it was only the second business day. I'd give it until the end of this week or early next week.

Just curious about the MST. How does the 4 inch intake compare to Dinan, Injen, stock ? Is the 4 inch comparatively small ?
Anyone have before and after dynos for the MST , or any other intakes ? |

Downpipe just came today, still waiting on the intake. I'm torn on installation,
should I attempt myself? should I have a shop do it for me? can any shop install it? Should I wait & install both at same time? |

I was originally gonna do it myself but I paid a shop $150 for 1 hr of work. they said it was a PIA getting the AA DP to slip onto (or into don't remember) the stock midpipe.
