Catch can and other imporvements

anyone have any idea which catch can to get, should I have the dealer install it to make sure the warranty is not void or does that even matter?

Are catch cans a thing in the S58 world? They are common in VAG land.

I would advise you to not get a catch can. Really a catch can is a solution looking for a problem.

On numerous other forums I read posts of owners who have installed a catch can and reporting upon checking it at oil change time (5K miles or more) there's just a bit of fluid (water/oil) in the can.

Which is probably a good thing it is not catching that much stuff. If it was the can would need regular and frequent checking to empty its contents.

Besides providing no benefit its presence adds just more places for an intake leak to happen.

The PCV system is part of the car/engine emissions system. Tampering with the PCV system could void the warranty on at least that part of the emissions system.
