Exclamation Need help with tire sizing

I recently purchased a set of wheels/tires from another member of a BMW group for my 2022 M240i x-Drive. However, after putting on the wheels and tires, my traction control is kicking-in and cutting power for some reason. Turns out his car is RWD and mine is AWD hence I am guessing that is the issue, but I am not sure. The sizes for the front and rear are as follows:

(i) front wheels and tires 19 x 8.5, 255/35/19
(ii) rear wheels and tires: 19 x 9.5, 275/35/19

The OEM tires were squared 225/40/19

Do I need to change the tire sizing?

Thanks for any advice!

That’s the problem, you are above the 1% front to rear difference allowed by the X-drive system. There is real risk of messing up your x-drive system with that setup. Either replace the front with 245/40/19 and keep the rears or replace the rears with 285/30/19 or 295/30/19. You can check the math on those as this is going off my memory.

Also, you’ll need to manually select summer tires and tire sizes within the TPMS menu, don’t leave it on AUTO.

Thank you so much. I just ran it through the calculator and the diameter difference is now only -0.4%, which I assume is acceptable as it is less than 1%?
