What EQ Settings Are People Using?
As was suggested, I thought it might be helpful to ascertain what others have done. Taking a picture of the EQ screen, as set, may be best.

My current EQ settings. Not perfect, but OK until I take some more time to tweak it further. I find pushing the 5K and up bands any further than this makes it sound harsh. I also have B&W profile set to Concert, and surround set to the middle.
Here are how many notches each setting is adjusted. The value in brackets is the number from the actual [nominal] mid value (true zero), since when you adjust the bass and treble, the [relative] mid point within each grey box on each frequency changes. Bass +5 100hz +5 (+9) 200hz +2 (+4) 500hz +1 (+1) 1khz 0 (0) 2khz +3 (+4) 5khz +5 (+7) 10khz +4 (+8) Treble +5 Last edited by Littlecoupe; 10-17-2023 at 03:07 PM.. |

Adding to this thread, although I'm thinking it'll die being posted in this section.
I changed from a Galaxy S20 to a Google Pixel 8 last weekend and found I needed to turn down the 10K band one notch (it was too crisps and clipping on some songs) and I was able to turn up 5K one notch to brighten the vocals a bit. In saying that, it seems the phone plays a role in the overall sound profile. So my reference post is for a Galaxy S20, although I'd suspect most modern Samsung Galaxy phones will have a similar sound profile with the phone EQ set to flat. |
