Thoughts on carbon fiber side vents? 4 series

I find myself going down the carbon fiber rabbit hole.

What do you think about the fake side vents?

I have lip, eyelids, wing mirrors, high kick and exhaust tips.

Is the too much and carbon for the sake of it?

Is swapping them a pain?

Thoughts?

I think if you're going to do fender mods a better option is to get M4 replica fenders and carbon fiber inserts (without the M badge).

But regarding the OEM fenders I think the carbon fiber fins is a little too much just keep them gloss black. Probably a biased opinion though since I don't really like the look of the fin.

Another option is to get body color matched fins for the opposite look.

I didn't know you could buy m4 replica fenders. Id.love to get that wider profile but how to do the rear without major cutting and welding.

Kies sells the replica M4 fenders. If you wanted to get OEM F82 fenders you would have to do the full F82 front end based on my understanding (hood and bumper etc) and it would get pretty expensive. I've seen a couple cars do it and it looks great just don't put on the M badge lol.

i actually have a set of m4 replica fenders for sale in the FOR SALE section, take a look

I am also doing the real M4 front end swap right now, it does cost alot of money and time, there're some adjustments to do all over the front end, nothing is really "plug and play"
but i just like the wider look...and yes..no m4 badge lol

No m4 badges. One plumber at college had an e36 with an m3.badge on it in college around 2001. We used to bully his ass back then..I'm not about upbadging cars don't worry lol

These do not match the BMW OEM CF angle or look.

I'm reading the description and I don't think they have the body pins..they are just flat and.kind of 3m taped on. That's lame and a recipe for losing them

if your car sees the sun a lot, those thin overlay carbon pieces are gonna get yellow and disgusting quick. overlays are ok for interior only imo.

I live in Florida but it's garaged in the evenings. A couple of coats of ceramic will delay the yellowing but my high kick spoiler started peeling within a few months.

yeah its good you're proactive and aware of it, it cheapens the look of the whole car when it happens.
