Will never forget the 69 2002 at Hahn AB we ran in 72. Had Alpina parts, 2 big Webers, open stacks, springs etc Not sure which was more exciting......the F4D or the 2002. It's a toss up.

Hahn to Spangdahlem AB was our chosen run.

Alpina was out ahead of the game 50 plus years ago.

There was an article about an Alpina B7 in Bimmer Magazine 15 years ago and the writers succinct description of the B7 as the ultimate Q-Ship made me really appreciate Alpina as a small manufacturer.

The level of quality needed to transform from a BMW tuner to gaining manufacturer status by the German government in 1983 is astounding. Passion and excellence from cars to wine was how BB lived. A legend. Well done, sir. RIP
