I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to retrofit the gear shifter of an 2020 xDrive25e for the more modern one like the xdrive20i has?

That actually looks great! Thanks for the link. I'm wondering if anyone has every tried te build it in yet? or the original gear shifter the x2 has or xdrive20i for that matter?

Would be interesting but I am not going to Guinea pig this, already doing a comfort access retrofit which no successfully finished on the F48 yet but I am close to that. So this is for grabs for someone else.

While it's possible to change the knob style, you can't change how the system works (i.e., shifter + gearbox).

So, you will still have a long shifter but with a new knob style. You can't have the new electronic system (short shifter).
