Brake pad change mileage

Why would MyBMW say my front pads will need replacing in 780 miles yet the in car display says 380 miles? academic as she’s going in next week to my not usual dealer as they could not do the work until Jan 2! But just wondered

You should always follow what the car says.

Probably there's just some delay in updating the info with MyBMW App.

For my 2016 model, my BMW app only updates data like mileage etc when I physically plug it in to the USB in the car.
