Asking for results of racechip piggyback in 320i 2020+
Hello! I'm researching to purchase a piggyback for my 2021 320i.
Here in Brazil, a model that I can easily get is the Racechip. It turns out that on the racechip website the indicated power gain for the 320i manufactured after 2020 is only 29hp and 50nm. It seems little to me. So I wanted to know if anyone had installed the racechip in a 320i manufactured after 2020 and if they could indicate what the gains in power and torque were and, if possible, in acceleration time. Thank you. |

320i manufactures after 2020 have the "A" engine with 11:1 compression instead of the "B" engine with 10.2 (which is the same version as the 330i, electronically detuned). The "A" engine piston heads are weaker and prone to break with high PSI boosts, thus the decreased power available.
Now, those +29 hp would put the engine total in 213hp and I've been told that the A engine can do up to 230-240hp safely so maybe they're a little conservative but they also provide engine warrantee so maybe that's the reason. |
