Black side skirt scuffing? PPF?
Had the car a week now and loving it.
I had been debating get the black side skirts PPF’d to protect them from scuffing. So was wondering how everyone is going with theirs. Are they getting scratched/scuffed up? Did you PPF them? Cheers. |

I got my whole vehicle PPfed. But if I didn’t go whole vehicle, I would definitely have gotten all gloss black plastics wrapped as well as full frontal at the least

I have the carbon side winglets. Stones hit the front of the winglets and bounce into the black skirts. Noticeable stone chips in those areas.
If I had my time again I would PPF them. Black surround on the grill is super soft too. Not a lot you can do about that. |

While I did not wrap the car, the addition of the mud flaps have helped considerably to minimize the damage there.
Still not sure if I would wrap the car if I could do it over. |

Yep off the rear side winglets infront of the rear wheels. Barely a mark anywhere on the side skirt apart from behind the winglets. You’d think it was safer behind them!

Some may not like the look, but I put the full rocker trim, with winglet (Autoid) shortly after delivery. I live off a gravel road and it's doing its job protecting the rocker. I'm sure the underside will get trashed, but they can be easily replaced.

My piano black rockers are holding well after over a year. I am mindful to not let my legs or feet rub them as I get in and out of the car and the TLG mudflaps are likely helping as well.
Though I’m not sure how long this will last, I may ask my buddy if he can do mine from a bulk roll of PPF. The precuts from xpel are a bit pricey. |

Can you post a picture of them on your vehicle? I assume from your post you do not PPF them.

Here you go. Don't mind the dirt. Another perk of living on a dirt road.
They fit quite rigidly using a combination of the underbody screws and 3m tape. Sticks out an average of about an inch. Good protection for the rockers. Also have the mudflaps that were mentioned on this site. Sevvy |

Cheers guys, much appreciate the feedback. Although I am trying to get out of the car so that I dont scuff them, I can see its pretty easy to do so. I am less concerned about myself - its the wife and 9 yr old I have a problem with!
I'll look into PPF after the xmas crazy time. |
