50th & black M2 emblems installed

50th Emblems arrived to today. Purchased from www.bmwpartscenter.com. 5 min install for the front/rear & center caps. Used a thin plastic trim tool to pop the hood & trunk emblems up. Almost no tape was left behind. Popped the new emblems in & pressed to secure the new tape. The trunk emblem is larger than the hood emblem. I read some posts here stating they are the same size, they're not. I used a hotel room key card to pop the center caps out. The black M2 emblem was from ebay & is for an F87. Nobody is going to tell the difference if there is any. It was also a good bit cheaper than the G87 black M2 emblem.

Did you have to prep the surface before installing the new hood and trunk heritage badges?

Just wiped it down with alcohol and stuck the emblems in place.
