No back jet?

Just got my new BMW X1 today and I've noticed there's no nozzle for water to come out, is this normal?

Have you checked your owners manual to see how to operate the rear washer jet (if it is optioned)? That may help you find out where it is located.

See #8 in the diagram from the parts database below:

EDIT: see instructions below from the X3 owners manual…which should be very similar (since it the same instructions for my X5). Again, check your owners manual (or use the manual embedded in idrive)…if you initiate the rear washer…does it activate…or can you hear the pump attempt to disperse washer fluid?

Mine has one but it's an EU version F48.

If you say yours is brand new, is it not a U11 (in which case this would be the wrong forum section)?
