Aggressive Track Fitment Guide - 19x11 305 Square
I primarily use this car as a weekend fun car/Autocrosser and wanted to run a 305 square setup without pinching a 305 on a 10.5 wheel. I've seen a 19x11 run but there wasn't too much definitive info on it and after a bit of research, I pulled the trigger on a set of Apex VS5-RS in Motorsport Gold as part of their Black Friday sale. I hope this info helps others in their wheel/tire search and is a good base for an initial track alignment.

I would slightly trim or apply heat and bend the fins a little. The strut barely clears and I would say this is about the most tire you can get up front on this setup without adding spacer and rolling/pulling fender. As a note, the RT660 is probably going to be the widest tire within a given section width in the 200tw category. The rear has no issues clearing whatsoever. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Sherlock997; 12-25-2023 at 08:37 PM.. |

Looks good. Are the RT660's directional?
Check the struts after a few track days. I had about a 5 mm gap between my 295's and struts while stationary but I started to see signs of rubbing from tire flex on corners.

Thanks! Yes they are directional but there is no inside/outside specification meaning they can be flipped by mounting them to the opposite side wheel. I'm going to keep an eye on the strut to see if I get any rubbing but i can fit a credit card in there and am hoping the tire flex is minimal on a 30 sidewall.

The additional tire really helps the turn in and there is no more understeer on corner exit. The steering is a bit heavier with such a wide tire but overall I feel like the car is more agile and responsive with the alignment changes and additional grip. The car settles into a corner beautifully now and feels so satisfying when you get it just right.

I rotated the tires today after 3k miles and 40-50 autocross runs. Definitely has more inside wear on the front and the rears are wearing pretty even. I'll probably flip the tires after another couple of events if I don't wind up pulling the trigger on a set of RE71RS now that they are out in this spec.

Great to hear that you've mitigated the understeer coming out of corners. That's a big annoyance for me right now. I'm going to 285/30 R20 up front, so not sure that will eliminate as much understeer as I'd like. |

This isn't as big of an issue as I thought it was going to be, the M HAS kit is stiff enough over stock I feel it handles the additional grip pretty well. The only time I feel the car gets overwhelmed is through the tight quick transfer elements which are where I hope the sway bars will help but am worried it might make the car a little too stiff for my liking.
