275/35 R20 or 275/30 R20 all season tires on stock rear wheels?
I just picked up my car a couple weeks ago and I am looking for all-season tires. It gets cold and tires have been tricky to find here in Korea.
I'm completely inexperienced when it comes to changing tire sizes, does it matter if I go 275/35 R20 or 275/30 R20 for all seasons in the rear with 275/35 R19 for the front? Thank you for any help! |

Especially if you're looking for a year round solution, I would stick to the stock sizing.

I picked up a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season in 285/30/20 last year for my previous car.

I went with Conti DWS 06+ front and rear. Stock 275/35/19 front but increased to 295/30/20 rear. Going from 285/30/20 to the 295/30/20 increased overall diameter from 26.7 to 27 inches and width from 11.2 to 11.6. The Contis are very reasonably priced in these sizes.

would the front rub with this size tire? I was thinking about going these sizes for winter driving but saw a YouTube video where AutoID had 285s on 20s in the front and he was rubbing. Not sure if going 19s would help with that...I'm too inexperienced with all this so very interested in this thread.

My fronts are Vossen 9.5 x 20 with proper manufacturers offset and 275/30/20 PS4Ss (obviously, not a winter setup). The rubbed slightly on the inner fender vents when the wheels were turned at max right/left. I had to do a little modification to the vents and problem solved. |

I put Vredstein Wintrac Pro “All Weather” 275/35-19 front and 275/30-20 rear on stock rims on my g80. They were great last winter. Its spring and I still like them. They were~$1000 from TireRack. I’ll be leaving them on, year round. Rears only 0.1 bigger dia than front. Car came with Michelins.
